The companies act of 2015 however provides ease through which companies can be registered and operate in Kenya to enhance productivity through private limited company business platforms. County governments in Kenya are providing much needed developmental services to all corners of the country by focusing resources on local priorities. This system of devolution has the potential to accelerate Kenya’s development in a more inclusive, relevant and sustainable way. However, to successfully serve their people, county governments need the following:

❏ Accountable, transparent and efficient construction and supply services.
❏ Highly skilled workmanship to provide quality consultancy services.
❏ Skilled auditors to enhance accountability in the existing firms.
Private companies are operating in an environment where they have to be sensitive to the needs of local communities. There is a need not just of construction and supplies, not just auditing and publications, but also the education of the community on how they can improve but also benefit from the existing institutions that are available within communities and beyond.
